This film didn't do it for me. It's dark and pointless. It seems like someone cut up the film and stitched it up together at random points. I haven't seen any of Merzlikin's and Mironova's other works, but i wasn't too impressed with this one. Emotionless, with very simple and crumbled dialogue, I barely made it through to the end. In my opinion, the best acting performance was put on by Polina Isayeva, the actress who played the daughter of Tanya and Sergei. The directing in the film is subpar at best. My first thought was that Tanya is suffering from schizophrenia or some other mental disability. So disjointed it was. As far as the scenery, we mostly see a snowy or rainy city in the dark of the night, adding to the total impression of darkness of the film. Although, some of the songs selected were quite good. I wouldn't recommend this film to others.
Nice movie. Had a different opinions over the scripts though. First of all, it was hard to grasp every bit of the story through sub-title. In my opinion, i felt a five hour movie being rushed into a two hour time frame.So i was expecting much more from it. Admiral Kolchak role was played very well. And the ending scene kind of reflected/similar to a scene from the Titanic movie. Overall, It was a great movie
This is a film that really takes me back to my childhood and teens. Pranking, scuffling with classmates, being out in nature on excursions sure bring back memories. Terrific performances by Khabenskiy, Lyadova and Chernykh, together with awesome shooting location choices and score selection indeed make the film enjoyable and a must watch.

С первых минут фильм окунает в атмосферу обычной жизни в Росии - грязные электрички, хамство, драки, пьянь. Фильм немного грустный, но правдивый. Герой Хабенского переполнен бесконечным жизнелюбием. Над фильмом можно как посмеяться, так и крепко задуматься.
Класный фильм, смотрел ночью - по началу думал что засну, через минут 15 втянулся в сюжет и просмотрел на одном дыхании. Сюжет и игра актеров тоже понравилась. В хорошую концовку при такой разнице в возрасте тяжело поверить, но мы же не забываем что это фильм, (хотя чего только не увидишь в этом мире...)
По моему скромному мнению, это кино более глубокое, чем может показаться. Можно даже пофилософствовать, о чём оно на самом деле – о совершенно разных женщинах или же о совершенно разных началах, живущих в отдельно взятой женщине. Интересные, узнаваемые типажи и очень мощная актёрская игра. Одним словом, мне понравилось кино, конец особенно!
О мой неокрепший моск!!! Над ним с особой изощрённостью надругались неадекватные люди!..
